2016 Favourites
I have been severely procrastinating but now is the time to stop hibernating and really get onto blogging. After all getting married is not an easy task with a lot of new things adding on. Phew!
Since I am back to blogging now, I wanted to first begin with all my 2016 favourites from skincare and beauty. All these products are tried, tested and regularly used due to immense love and obsession. Kindly note that not all products suit every one, but there will be a couple which I think works for every one equally because they are chemically not affected.
Skincare
Since I have not had many break outs the previous year, I would like to begin with all my favourite skincare products first.
1. Kiehl’s Daily Reviving and Midnight Recovery Concentrate
Now, these two serums had to make my favourites list because of the instant results I have seen myself. Using them for over a year and a half now and I can assure you that these essential oils are a big time skin saviour. (Suitable for all skin types)
2. Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Face Wash
I am a fan of Kiehl’s products and this is another winner that I use every day without fail. A must in your skin care routine.
3. Brillare Science Comforting Gel Creme (Glacier 0% skin allergies)
I am not a fan of moisturizers but I need to use them since my skin is super dry. The best part about this cream is it is gel based, soaks all the oiliness and yes, gives you a dewy glow all day even if you have not applied any makeup. When I apply any makeup, I apply this creme before my primer. (Suitable for all skin types)
4. Avene Thermal Spring Water
Another essential addition to my favourites because you can use it just any time. Whether you had a long time or when your face feels fatigued or as a toner, this is an amazing product that I have in my bag all the time. (Suitable for all skin types)
5. Iba Halal Care’s Aloe Aqua Refreshing Face Spray
I once saw a friend of mine using it just after he came home from the heat. The best part about Iba products is they are completely chemical free and absolutely natural. This is a super hydrating mist and I love the subtle fragrance this product has. (Suitable for all skin types)
6. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Circle Perfector SPF 30
For obvious reasons I love this product and it is one of my favourites. One, I go a lot in the sun and two, I have dark circles. Using this perfector and since it has a considerably high SPF I have realized how quicly my dark circles have lightened significantly.
7. St. Ives Apricot Scrub
A stunner for deep cleaning and works like magic. I use it on my face, neck, arms and feet.
8. Ted Baker’s Lip Balm
On my dad’s recent trip to Dubai, I had asked him to bring this lip balm and oh boy! It is one hell of a lip product. It works wonders by softening your lips and keeping it super hydrated all the time. I wish this is available in India soon too! (Suitable for all skin types)
Beauty
This is the exciting part now! I love sharing my beauty favourites because I know we all have that makeup fetish in your little hearts.
9. Bobbi Brown’s Retouching Wand in shade medium
Bobbi Brown makeup products fall in my top three makeup brand favourites. The retouching wand is a boon in disguise the way it can really help you while you’re on the go. (Suitable for all skin types)
10. Estee Lauder’s Pure Colour Envy Matte in shade desirous
I am a lipstick person and the most that you will find in my makeup vanity is lipsticks and lots of red ones. I think I started using Estee Lauder last year onwards and ever since I am loyal to this brand. Also, the shade Desirous is really elegant. I almost wear it on every occasion.
11. Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup
Might seem slightly expensive to many, but you will be surprised how flawless it makes you look. I prime my face, apply this foundation, blend it in and just set my under eye, nose and chin and I am ready to go. The glow is fantastic.
12. Roller Lash Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics
Due to its scarcity in the country I had to tell my sister-in-law to bring this mascara for me from the US. It elongates your eye lashes and is again one of my treasured favourites. (Suitable for all skin types)
13. Clinique long last soft matte lipstick and Pop liquid matte lip colour+primer and Clinique’s chubby sticks.
Lipstick love, enough said! (Suitable for all skin types)
14. Lancome’s Juicy Shaker in Show Me The Honey
A tinted lip oil from Lancome but real fun to play around with. It’s super hydrating formula makes me definitely recommend this one to all of you! (Suitable for all skin types)
15. Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in shade Burnt Red
I love the colour, just LOOOOOOOOVE it! Get it at once! (Suitable for all skin types)
16. Chambor Transferproof Liquid Lipstick
Why has this one made to my favourites? Those of you who have used this know that it really is transferproof! Works right for hours. (Suitable for all skin types)
17. YBP Makeup Perfectors
If you want a tool which is versatile and will never ditch on you, this is it! (Suitable for all skin types)
18. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush in Champagne Splits
Another one that comes from the US, this blush and highlighter duo is worthy of being mine as well as your favourites. Highly pigmented is a plus plus! (Suitable for all skin types)
19. L’oreal Paris Mat Magique 12 H Bright Foundation
Super absorbing and absolutely budget friendly, this foundation is a must have!
20. PAC Face and eye brushes
If you have most of the PAC brushes, your brush and tool kit will be completely taken care of. The brushes have real dense bristles, easy to maintain and of great quality at very nominal prices. I would easily call them MAC dupes. (Suitable for all skin types)
21. Nykaa Matte Nail Paints
You want great and matte nail paints, then Nykaa matte nail paints is your one stop solution. Dries faster and will turn a lot of heads when you go out with these nail paints. (Suitable for everyone)
22. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
I love contouring and there is no better kit for me than the ABH contour kit.
